KEYS Azalea Completes First Ship-to-Ship LNG Bunkering for Panamax-class coal carrier in Japan

On December 25th, KEYS Azalea, the LNG bunkering vessel owned and operated by KEYS Bunkering West Japan Ltd. bunkered LNG for the Panamax-class coal carrier SHOYO1 operated by Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha ("NYK") by Ship-to-Ship2 at Choshu Dejima port in Shimonoseki city. This was the first Ship-to-Ship LNG bunkering for Panamax-class coal carrier in Japan.


Up to now, KEYS Azalea has been bunkering LNG for car carriers and bulk carriers. This time, it bunkered LNG for the Panamax-class coal carrier Shoyo for the first time. Also, this is the first LNG bunkering in Choshu Dejima.


KEYS will continue providing safe and stable LNG bunkering for LNG fueled vessels and contribute to forming a carbon-neutral society, and developing the LNG bunkering business in Japan.
